Camera Use
4.3.1

Overview

General Information
The Camera Cart:
• Enables mobile positioning of camera
• Allows adjustment of angle and height of camera
• Communicates to the Monitor Cart via cable connection
Safe Use
Only one person should operate the Camera Cart at any given time.
Before use, ensure that the camera and all parts of the Camera Cart are functioning properly and
there is sufficient space for camera movement.
Do not use any active wireless tool that is not specified by Brainlab. Do not use more than one
active wireless tool at the same time. Communication with active wireless tools (such as Z-touch)
can be established even when the camera is warming up.
Do not attach or hang anything on the Camera Cart, due to risk of the Camera Cart tipping
over.
Warning
Do not use the Camera Cart if cables are visibly damaged.
Warning
When adjusting the Camera Cart, take great care not to tilt it to a degree where there is a
chance it could tip over.
Do not place Camera Cart on uneven surfaces. Otherwise, it could move on its own,
resulting in serious damage.
Compatibility
Only use the Camera Cart with approved Brainlab navigation systems.
Only use the Sterile Camera Handle Sleeve specified by Brainlab for the Camera Cart.
Warning
Do not make any changes to the camera components. Changes to the equipment may
cause severe harm to the patient, user or third party.
Absolute Measurements
The camera is not intended for absolute measurements. The camera is designed to provide the
relative location of trackable instruments.
Careful Handling
The camera is a highly sensitive optical device. Handle it with care.
