UPS Signals
General Information
During a power failure, the UPS emits signals to indicate that the system is operating from a
limited internal source of power.
System Status
The LED indicator on the user panel, as well as UPS audio signals, indicate the system status.
Detailed information on system LEDs can be found in the System User Guide.
Warning
During a power failure the UPS only keeps the system running for a maximum of five
minutes. A rapid beeping is audible and the UPS LED flashes orange. The hospital is
responsible for installing any other, additional warning systems to inform OR staff that the
equipment is running on a limited power source.
Explanation of Signals

Battery is not fully charged and cannot support

the full five minutes of standby power.
Battery is completely empty. Switch off system
until mains power is restored. Turn on system

again and allow UPS to charge for at least two
hours.
