Inspection
Visual control (look for damage, cracks)
Refer to the Cleaning chapter.
The UPS battery charges whenever it is connected to utility power.
• Visual inspection of all the EM Tracking Unit's cabling for twists,
cracks, etc.
• Visual inspection of all connectors for damages
• Visual inspection of all housing parts for damages like cracks, etc.
• Inspect for general physical damage

• Inspect for physical damage.
• Marking and type plates readable.
• Function of connection to third-party equipment (e.g., microscope).
Functionality

• Visual inspection (wear and tear)
• Both lenses are clean and not scratched or otherwise damaged

• Stability of the monitor fixation and scratches on the touchscreen
• On/off button and mains power switch
• Power LED
• DVD/CD ROM

Check that there are no loose or missing screws.
Check UPS code status.
Perform a simulated blackout test to confirm that the UPS can switch
from utility power to battery power as follows:
• Connect the cables of the system.
• Start the Curve system.
• When the software is ready to be used, unplug the power supply of
the system.
• The system should continue to work. The UPS emits regular beeps,
and the LED indicates that the battery is activated.
