Cleaning Detergent
Pay attention to the following points when selecting cleaning detergents:

1.
Transfer the instruments to the washer-disinfector. Use baskets for small instruments.

Start the program.
3.
After the program has finished, let the instruments dry and then remove them.
The detergent used for cleaning must be fundamentally approved for instru-
ment cleaning.
The instructions of the detergent manufacturers regarding concentration must
be observed.
The efficiency of the detergent should be officially approved if a program is
used that is not recommended by the Robert Koch Institute (part of the Ger-
man Federal Ministry for Health or "BMG").
Examples of approved efficiency:
• FDA clearance
• CE marking
• Products listed by DGHM (German Society for Hygiene and Microbiology)
and ÖGHMP (Austrian Society for Hygiene, Microbiology and Preventive
Medicine)
Compatibility with the instruments to be cleaned.
