2.9 Rack Handles – Installation / Removal
The system includes a set of rack handles designed to secure a system into a rack or cabinet and to aid with
pulling systems from or pushing systems into a rack or cabinet.
Note: The system should never be carried solely by the rack handles. Intel recommends carrying the system
using two people or to use a cart when moving the system from one location to another.
CAUTION: Slide/rail mounted equipment is not to be use as a shelf or a work space
2.9.1 Installing the Rack Handles
• Locate the rack handles
Align the rack handle with the three holes on the side of the server system

• Attach the rack handle to the server system with three screws using 8 in/lbs torque
2.9.2 Removing the Rack Handles
Remove the three screws holding the rack handle to the chassis
