Replacing and re-sharpening the cutters

If the pellets are not properly cut or are incorrectly
placed in the caps, make sure the cutters (1) are not
worn down. If they are, either sharpen or replace them.
Plastic or aluminium cutters can be installed.
Plastic cutters
- Remove the cutter (2) from the assembly (3) by
loosening the screws (5).
- Remove the ring-nut (4) which holds the cutter (1) in
place.
- Take off the cutter (1).
- Remove one or more shims (6) so that the cutter (1)
protrudes out of the head (2) far enough so that it can
be sharpened. Each shim is approx. 0.5 mm thick and
there are normally five of them installed. If all the shims
have already been removed, it is necessary to install a
new cutter along with five shims.
- Refit the cutter (1) and turn it with the aid of the tool (X)
to center the cut part with the sleeve (2).
- Reinstall and lock the assembly in place with the ring-
nut (4).
- Place the sleeve (2) on the fixture (Y) as shown in the
diagram. This fixture can be placed on a magnetic
surface or in a vice.
- Grind the cutters so that so that value A is the same for
all of them. The cutters should protrude from their
sleeves by value B indicated in the diagram.
- Remove the cutter head (2) from the fixture and put it
back into place on the assembly (3).
