7.4.2
STRIPPER HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
The stripper (4) removes the caps (3) from the plunger after they have been lined.
The height of the stripper is to be adjusted and checked in the area that can be reached by the forming drum, where
the cam moves the lower plunger (1) up.
To check the position of the stripper, place a shim (2), supplied with the machine, in the position shown in the figure.
If the stripper has to be adjusted, loosen the two screws that secure it and move it until it comes into contact with the
shim (2).
Fully tighten the screws and repeat the operations for all the remaining strippers. The height of the shim (2) is
determined during machine testing as it is strictly related to the height of the cap.
If the shim supplied with the machine is not available, keep in mind that the difference between the height of the stripper
(4) placed on a cap (3) and the height of the stripper without a cap (3) must fall within 0.7 - 0.8 mm.
