MAINTENANCE

SAFETY: GENERAL RULES AND PRECAUTIONS

Only qualified and well-trained personnel who are familiar with this machine and the plant in general should perform
these maintenance operations (see chapter 3 - SAFETY EQUIPMENT AND PRECAUTIONS).
Take all necessary safety precautions to ensure that the machine cannot be started up accidentally:
- turn the main switch on the electrical cabinet to the OFF position;
- remove the safety key;
- attach a "maintenance in progress" sign to the electrical cabinet;
- press the emergency stop buttons on the machine in.
Always keep in mind the main hazards that can arise and remember the safety instructions given in chapter 3 -
SAFETY EQUIPMENT AND PRECAUTIONS.
The maintenance operations are divided into:
- routine maintenance (to be performed by the customer's maintenance staff)
- special maintenance (to be performed by the manufacturer's specialized staff or specially trained members of the
customer's personnel).
Examples of routine maintenance procedures include:
- mechanical parts: lubricating and cleaning the mechanical parts, replacing and tensioning the belts, replacing or
cleaning the hydraulic valves;
- electrical parts: replacing the fuses in the electrical cabinet.
