Tangential control (TANG, TANGON, TANGOF, TLIFT, TANGDEL)

Function
The following axis follows the path of the leading axis along the tangent. This allows
alignment of the tool parallel to the contour. Using the angle programmed in the
instruction, the tool can be positioned relative to the tangent.
Application
Tangential control can, for example, be used in the applications:
● Tangential positioning of a rotatable tool during nibbling
● Tracking the workpiece alignment for a bandsaw (see the following diagram).
● Positioning of a dressing tool on a grinding wheel
● Positioning of a cutting wheel for glass or paper working
● Tangential feed of a wire for 5-axis welding.
