Advanced efficiency optimization (method 2)
The advanced efficiency optimization generally achieves a better efficiency than the basic
efficiency optimization. With this technique, the actual motor operating point is determined as
a function of the efficiency and flux - and the flux is set to achieve the optimum efficiency.
Depending on the motor operating point, the converter either reduces or increases the flux
when the motor is operating in the partial load range.
Advanced efficiency optimization with flux
Advanced efficiency optimization is activated in the default setting.
To activate advanced efficiency optimization, set p1401.14 = 1.

Efficiency optimization for reluctance motors

The typically high efficiency for 1FP1 reluctance motors can also be achieved in the partial
load range.
To achieve this, depending on the demanded torque, the motor is operated with a loss-
optimized current setpoint (MTPC: Max-Torque-Per-Current). This operation corresponds to
a load-dependent input of the flux setpoint - and can be appropriately preconfigured when
commissioning by setting p1401.3 = 1. Further, drives with reluctance motors can be
optimized in the following way:
● p1401.9 = 1
Dynamically increases the flux setpoint when quickly establishing the torque.
● p1401.10 = 1
Increases the flux setpoint at low speeds and for load-dependent optimum flux
characteristic (p1401.3 = 1).
