Test Server 1 LEDs
The following administration uses the services laptop computer connected to server 1 and the
media server web interface.
Click Test Server LEDs to test the server LEDs.

Observe the Active/Standby and U2 LEDs on the front of the media server and the
transmit LED on the duplication card on the front of the media server to ensure they are
blinking. See

Set SNMP Traps
The following administration uses the computer used to access the Avaya S8700 Media Server
and uses the media server web interface.
Refer to the filled-out Job Aid entitled Pre-Installation Network Worksheet—S8700 IP Connect
for host names, IP addresses, and community strings assigned to the UPSs and Ethernet switch.
NOTE:
Configure trap destinations only if the customer's network administrator wants alarm
notification.

Click Configure Trap Destinations to administer the simple network management
protocol (SNMP).
