Cause
SMPS Fan is not running.
The LSU could not reach the
READY state within the
defined time or a problem
has occured in the LSU.
The laser beam was not
detected within the set time.
A problem with the facsimile
communications has
occurred.
Machine displays this for a
transmission or fax
handshaking failure.
The machine is not available
for Mailbox communication.
(mailbox id, password)
In the middle of sending fax
with manual dial, scanning
error has occurred.
(document jam, scanner
fault)
A selection for a group
location was made where
only a single location
number can be used, such as
when adding locations for a
multi-dial operation.
Remote party did not have
requested feature such as
spooling
The remote FAX did not
answer.
There is an error with Fax
data reception.
The machine cannot connect
with the remote machine, or
has lost contact because of a
problem with the phone line.
Initial Action
Check for contamination
or blockage in the SMPS
Fan.
POPO the machine.
Test the LSU with in
diagnostic mode
If fault persists, Power
Off/Power On
Turn the printer on and
then off and then check to
see if the error persists.
Try resending the fax.
Check Mailbox Id,
Password is correct.
And Try again.
Check scanner and try
resending fax.
Try again, check location
for a group.
Try again. If problem still
persists, change the
requested feature.
Try again.
Try again. If failure
persists, wait an hour or so
for the line to clear then
try again.
