Activating online operation: STARTER via PROFINET IO
Online operation with PROFINET IO is implemented using TCP/IP.
Preconditions
● STARTER commissioning tool from version 4.1.5 or higher
● Control Unit CU320-2 PN
● Communication Board CBE 20 in the Control Unit

Connecting the programming device to the target device via PROFINET (example)
Assign the programming device (PG/PC) a fixed, free IP address. In our example, we
selected 169.254.11.1, based on the factory setting of the integrated Ethernet interface
X127 (169.254.11.22). Set the subnet mask to 255.255.0.0.
