Devices for Ex zone 1 (EC 911 and EC 912)

The versions for Ex zone 1 may only be connected to certified intrinsically safe circuits.
Further equipment may only be connected if the relevant explosion protection condi-
tions such as the permissible capacitance and inductance have been complied with (see
the separate ATEX approval documentation).
In the case of external power supply, the approved ISS 900 or CU 900 device is to be
used. Here you must only make sure that the cables and the length of the line are cor-
rect (external inductances and capacitances).

Make sure that the device is earthed (earthing screw on the right side)! In order to connect the de-
vice to the equipotential bonding, use a wire diameter of 4 mm².
