A USB connection through the virtual media CIM must exist between

the KVM switch and the target server.
Target server requirements:

You must choose the correct USB profile for the target server. See

KVM target servers must support USB connected drives.
USB 2.0 ports are faster and preferred.

CIM requirements:
A virtual media CIM is required on the target server. See Virtual

ISO9660 is the standard supported by Raritan. However, other ISO
standards can be used.

Mounting Local Drives
This option mounts an entire disk drive virtually onto the target server.
Use this option for external drives only. It does not include CD-ROM, or
DVD-ROM drives.
To mount a local drive:
1. Click
to open the "Audio, Mass Storage and SmartCard
Devices" dialog.
