6.1.6 Deinstallation of the display driver (agxuninst.exe)

If the Barco display driver has to be uninstalled, the tool agxuninst.exe should be used. This is necessary if
e.g. exchanging AGX G

display driver.
Please note:
agxuninst.exe removes also the complete video configuration, made with the switcher
language compiler SLC, please refer to section
To execute agxuninst.exe, you must be logged in as administrator. The file is located on the T
Suite CD CRS-3045-C in the following directory:
E:\Windows Driver Suite (OVS-2686)\Windows Driver Suite X.X
With a double click on the file first a dialog comes up with the question, if your current RGB presets should be
retained. Enabling the checkbox will preserve your current RGB presets so that they are still in place after a re-
installation of the display driver otherwise just the default presets will be available.
With the next dialog the de-installation of the driver can be started. To uninstall confirm with Yes.
Then the de-installation is running unless you are asked to reboot the computer. Confirm again with Yes.
After this a new display driver must be installed. If you want to revert to an earlier driver release please refer to
the user's manual that was provided with that driver software for an instruction of the installation!
Clearing SLC entries from the registry
Using the switcher language compiler, a video configuration is written to the registry. With agxuninst.exe it
is also possible to remove just the video configuration from the registry and to leave the driver installation un-
touched. Therefore agxuninst.exe must be started from the command line with the option /slc. Open a
command prompt application and change to the directory c:\BARCO\Windows

The script will remove the registry entries without further notification.
