3 Enter the SHOW STACK DETAIL command. Examine the display for the entry that has
the same ID number as the member switch you are currently configuring. Here is an
example for the member switch with the ID 2:

Examine the entry for the following:
- The "Priority" value should be the same as the switch's ID number. If they are not the
same, repeat "Configuring Member Switches - Part II" on page 160. Be sure to
perform the STACK PRIORITY command and save your changes with the WRITE
command.
- The "Stack port status" fields, the last two lines, should identify the selected optional
stack ports. If they identify the wrong ports, such as the default ports 17 and 21,
repeat "Configuring Member Switches - Part II" on page 160. (The status of the ports
is Down because the stack ports are not cabled yet.)

Description and Command
After configuring a member switch, do the following:
1. Power off the switch by disconnecting its AC power cords from the AC
power sources. Refer to Figure 76 on page 155.
2. Repeat this procedure to configure any additional member switches.
3. If you have not already configured the master switch, perform
"Configuring the Master Switch" on page 148.
