7 Connect socket and knee using a corresponding adapter (e.g. 4R111, 4R41, 4R55, 4R51
Socket Adapter). Use the 4R112 Sliding Adapter for alignment correction (Fig. 10). If adapt-
ers with 4-hole connection are used like 5R1=*, 5R6=*, etc., you can use the 4R118 Sliding
Adapter for a permanent extra posterior placement of 10-25 mm (Fig. 9).
3.1.1 Static alignment optimization ONLY using 743L100 L.A.S.A.R. Posture (Fig. 8)
The static alignment can be substantially improved using L.A.S.A.R. Posture. In order to ensure
appropriate stability combined with easy swing phase initiation, please proceed as follows:
1 To make the load line visible, the amputee stands on the L.A.S.A.R. Posture with the prosthetic
side on the force plate and with the contralateral side leg on the height compensation panel.
The prosthetic side should at least be loaded with 35% of the body weight, please check on
the display.
2 Now adapt the alignment by only adjusting the plantar flexion of the foot. The load line / laser
line should be 40 mm anterior to the knee joint center (See fig. 8).
3 After step 2, dynamic optimization can take place between parallel bars.
3.2
Adjustment and final assembly
3.2.1 Fine adjustment of the brake
The sensitivity of the brake has a factory setting, so that in general no adjustments to the patient's
requirements are necessary. If need be, however, the sensitivity of the brake can be adjusted by
slightly turning the setting screw (Fig. 4).

Turn to the left

Attention!
The sensitivity of the brake may only be reduced to a point where a sufficient braking
effect is still ensured.
3.2.2 Setting the swing phase control
The knee joints are delivered as follows:
• 3R90 in the highest spring catch – the least effect
• 3R92 with the least pneumatic resistance
3.2.3 Mechanical extension assist of the 3R90
The effect of the mechanical extension assist can be regulated at 5 levels by the tension of the
spring extension assist. If necessary, the spring effect, as delivered, must be increased.
To increase the spring effect: (Fig. 5)
Slightly press the setting unit and turn to the right.
To reduce the spring effect:
Slightly press the setting unit and turn to the left.
3.2.4 Pneumatic of the 3R92
The pneumatic swing phase control makes the gait of the patient more harmonious. At the same
time, movement resistances prevent the prosthetic lower leg from swinging too far when flexing
and ensure dampened extension. Along with the patient's habits, the foot weight and the length
of the lower leg, which have a pendular weight, also have an influence on his or her gait.
