General CLI commands

This section provides reference information for general CLI commands.

Help

Use the help command to display help for the command interpreter (CLI), and usage information for authorization,
network, filter, map, port, SNMP, and Load Balancing commands.
Syntax
help
help { set | show | auth | net | filter | map | port | snmp | loadbalancing | customfields | vline }
Parameters
set Display help for set commands
show Display help for show commands
auth Display help for authorization and authentication commands.
net Display help for network commands.
filter Display help for packet filtering commands.
map Display help for port mapping commands.
port Display help for port communications commands.
snmp Display help for SNMP commands.
loadbalancing Display help for Load Balancing commands
customfields Display help for custom field (user-defined bytes) commands
vline Display help for V-Line module commands.
Examples

The command interpreter supports the following basic commands:
Help
Select
Set
Show
Reset
Create
Delete
Clear
Commit
Reboot
Exit
Quit
The general form of a command is a series of words or numbers separated
by whitespace. All commands are case-insensitive.
'select controller' or 'select slot N' selects a current home location.
This will select either the controller or another card in the system. Other
commands may implicitly use the current location, for example in
deciding which port a 'show port' command refers to.
'set' allows you to write system parameters.
'show' allows you to read system parameters.
