Module commands

This section provides reference information for module commands.

select

Use the select command to select an installed chassis module by specifying its slot number. A slot must be selected before
you can configure or query the module it contains. Front slots are numbered 1–4 from left to right, and the rear 'slot' is 0.
You can also use the select command to select the system Controller when configuring or querying the system, although
in most cases it is not necessary to select the Controller before issuing system commands.
Syntax
select slot num
select controller
Parameters
num Specifies the module slot number. Slots are numbered 1–4 (starting from the left), and the rear slot is 0 or R.
Examples
Select slot 1:
CONTROLLER>select slot 1
SLOT1>
Select Controller:
SLOT1>select Controller
CONTROLLER>

show status

Use the show status command to display system information. The information returned can be used to check the overall
system status, temperature, and the state of fans and power supplies. The system model and installed firmware version are
also shown.
Syntax
show status
Parameters
This command has no arguments or keywords.
Example
Display system information:
CONTROLLER>show status
Power Supply 1: DOWN
Power Supply 2: UP
Fan 1: UP
Fan 2: UP
Chassis Type: 1U
Model: 1U 1G/10G
Serial Number: 2200267
Firmware Version: r2508M
Firmware Built: Wed 08 Aug 2013 14:20:57
