Parameters
• Ain, Bin, Aout, Bout, Cout, Dout Select the input port (ingress packets) or output port (egress packets) to apply
packet slicing. Only one port can be specified per instruction.
size Specify a packet slicing size in bytes. Valid range is 16–9216 bytes.

Example
Slice Port 4A ingress packets to 128 bytes and commit:
CONTROLLER>select slot 4
SLOT4>set vline slicing Ain 128
SLOT4>show vline
vline mode : breakout
Breakout ac : off
Breakout bd : off
Slicing a ingress : 128
Slicing b ingress : 0
Slicing c egress : 0
Slicing d egress : 0
SLOT4>commit
Committing maps and filters

set vline breakout

Use the set vline breakout command to specify breakout ports for V-Line modules operating in Breakout mode. Changes
must be committed before they are implemented on the system.
Syntax
set vline breakout { AC | BD } { On | Off }
Parameters
• AC, BD Select the breakout ports, either A→ C or B → D.
On, Off Enable/disable breakout on the specified ports.

Example
Configure Breakout on Ports 4AC and commit:
CONTROLLER>select slot 4
SLOT4>set vline breakout AC On
SLOT4>show vline
vline mode : breakout
Breakout ac : on
Breakout bd : off
Slicing a ingress : 0
Slicing b ingress : 0
Slicing c egress : 0
Slicing d egress : 0
SLOT4>commit
