set port mastering

(Copper ports only) Use the set port mastering command to set the port mastery mode for a copper port.
Port mastery refers to the master/slave relationship for clock pulses in a link pairing. In each pairing only one master
is permitted, that is, a port pairing must consist of a master and a slave. Mastery only applies when auto-negotiation is
enabled (set port autoneg auto).
Syntax
set port port-id mastering { forcemaster | prefermaster | forceslave | preferslave }
Parameters
port-id Specify the port letter to set or show. A–D for front ports; 0 or 1 for rear ports.
Forcemaster Force the port to be synchronization master (link partner must be slave).
Forceslave Force the port to be synchronization slave (link partner must be master).
Prefermaster Prefer the port to be synchronization master.
Preferslave Prefer the port to be synchronization slave.
Example
Set port 3A to Preferslave:
CONTROLLER>select slot 3

set port mdi

(Copper ports only) Use the set port mdi command to specify the MDI/MDI-X (cable crossover) mode for a copper port.
Selecting auto enables the port to automatically set MDI crossover correctly.
Syntax
set port portID mdi { Auto | MDI | MDI-X }
Parameters
port-id Specify the port letter to set or show. A–D for front ports; 0 or 1 for rear ports.
Auto Set auto to allow the port to set MDI crossover correctly.
MDI Set MDI (normal) mode.
