Once a correct setting for the Start and Stop level has been found the
Silence timeout can be raised. A comfortable setting would be a time of
20 - 30 seconds. This will lift the recording over most silences in
telephone calls and will hardly join two consecutive calls into a single
recording.

The caller number may not appear on the Vidicode Call Recorder Single II due to several possible reasons:

1. Caller ID Not Enabled: The device may not have Caller ID functionality enabled in its settings.
2. Unsupported Phone Line: The telephone line may not support Caller ID transmission.
3. Signal Issues: Poor signal quality or interference could prevent the caller number from being detected.
4. Incorrect Configuration: The recorder may not be properly configured to capture Caller ID information.
5. Blocked Caller ID: The caller may have blocked their number from being displayed.
6. Compatibility Issues: Some telephone models may not transmit Caller ID in a format compatible with the recorder.

Checking the device settings and ensuring Caller ID is supported and enabled can help resolve the issue.
