Connecting Readers

Readers can be lo cated in places where lim ited con trol
of the sys tem is re quired (Arming, A and B Mode
Arming, Dis arming and Stop Alarm op er a tions).
This sys tem sup ports Dig i tal Key and Prox im ity Card
Readers.
Key Readers Key Readers can be flush mounted to
most stan dard do mes tic light-switch/plug-socket out let
boxes

"INTRODUCTION" for the avail able mod els).
Dig i tal Key Readers must be at least 10 cm apart.
To in stall Key Readers, work care fully through the fol -
low ing steps (see Fig ure on page 13).
1. As sign the Reader Ad dress, then set the BPI Level
and com plete the con nec tions on the ter mi nal
board (re fer to "Con necting BPI Pe riph erals" for in -
struc tions).
2. Fit the Reader in its place ment (use the stan dard
pro ce dure for fit ting do mes tic light-switches and
plug sock ets).
Proximity Readers Prox im ity Readers can be sur face
mounted, or mounted to Mod. 503 out let boxes or sim i -
lar. Prox im ity Readers are fit ted with weather strips
(Pro tec tion Class IP34), there fore, are suit able for out -
door use.
Prox im ity Readers must be at least 50 cm apart.
To in stall Prox im ity Readers, work care fully through the
fol low ing steps (see Fig ure on page 13).
