Con nect ing Roller-Blind and Vi bra tion De tec tors

Zones 1 through 8 of KYO320 sup port Roller-blind and
Vi bra tion de tec tors. The zones must be pro grammed
re spec tively with ei ther the Vi bra tion or Roller-blind at -
trib ute (re fer to the 'PRO GRAM MING', Hard wired
zones, in this Man ual), and can be set up as Nor mally
Closed (N.C.) or Bal anced 1K ohm (BAL) or Cus tom -
ized (for NC or NO Bal anced zones only, and in this
case the Thresh old Volt age must be in Standby sta
The wir ing di a gram in Fig ure 19 shows a typ i cal con -
nec tion. The 1 K ohm Bal ance Re sis tor must be con -
nected to the last de vice.
The Roller Blind con tacts can also be con nected to the
zones of the M-IN/OUT pro grammed as In put Ex -
pander. To do this, microswitch no. 8 of DIP switch 80
must be moved to the ON po si tion, as de scribed in the
para graph "M-IN/OUT Pro gram ma ble In put/Out put Ex -
pander".
ONLY the con tacts for the Roller Blind can be con -
nected to the zones of the M-IN/OUT, whereas vi -
bra tion de tec tors CANNOT be con nected.
Test vi bra tion If the sys tem has an LCD Key pad, it will
be pos si ble to Test the sen si tiv ity of the 'Vi bra tion'

Connecting Fire Detectors

The KYO320 can also man age Fire de tec tors pro vided
that these can op er ate with a sup ply volt age of 12 V
and are equipped with alarm re peat out puts (such as
BENTEL SE CU RITY 600 Se ries de tec tors). The Fire
de tec tors can be con nected us ing the MUB-RV re lay
base.Al ter na tively:
a) Con nect the Alarm Re peat out puts of the Fire de tec -
tors to an In put Zone pro grammed as Fire (Nor mally
Open and 24h), in sert ing a di ode in se ries as shown in
fig ure 17a. Con nect the pos i tive for the feed to the de -
tec tors to ter mi nal [+F], and con nect the neg a tive to an
open-col lec tor out put;
b) Con nect the Alarm Re peat out puts of the Fire de tec -
tors to an In put Zone pro grammed as Fire (Nor mally
Open and 24h), con nect the pos i tive for the feed to the
de tec tors to ter mi nal [+A1] and con nect the neg a tive to
an open-col lec tor out put as shown in fig ure 17b. Pro -
gram the cor re spond ing out put to ter mi nal [+A1] as:
Mono stable, Nor mally Closed, 20 sec onds ON
Time. As sign the Out put to an event that will re set the
Fire De tec tors (e.g. Con trol Panel Re set or Par ti tion
Re set).
In both cases the open-col lec tor out put must be pro -
grammed as Mono stable, Nor mally Closed or 20 sec -
onds ON Time and as signed to an event that will re set
the Fire De tec tors (e.g. Con trol Panel Re set or Par ti tion
Re set). The con nec tions de scribed re sult in the power
sup ply to the Fire De tec tors be ing cut off for 20 sec onds
each time the event oc curs, thus al low ing the De tec tors
to re set.
