Short-cir cuit and connection in ter rup tion to ter mi nal +A
of Su per vised Out puts, will be sig nalled by:
Tam per on su per vised out put — rel a tive to the
Out put;
flash ing on the a in di ca tor on the Key pads.
The a in di ca tor will flash un til the cause of Alarm
is cleared (mem ory). The a in di ca tor will stop
flash ing when the Con trol panel re sets.

Connecting Tamper Terminals

The Tam per con tacts of the se cu rity sys tem de vices
can be con nected to the 19 K Bal ance 24h Tam per
Line.
The Tam per Line ter mi nal is marked ASB:
The Tam per Line will hold Standby sta tus when con -
nected to neg a tive via a 10 KΩ re sis tor;
The Tam per Line will trig ger an Alarm un der all other
con di tions.
Alarm on the Tam per Line will be sig nalled by:
a Tam per on Main unit event;
flash ing on the T in di ca tor on Key pads.
The T in di ca tor will flash un til the cause of Alarm is
cleared (mem ory). The T in di ca tor will stop flash -
ing when the Con trol panel re sets.
The wir ing di a gram in Fig. 21 il lus trates the con nec tion
of 3 Tam per con tacts to the Main Unit Tam per Line:
con nect the de vice tam per con tacts in se ries;
con nect a 10 KΩ re sis tor in se ries to the last Tam per
con tact;
con nect one end of the se ries to the [ASB] ter mi nal
and the other to the [M] ter mi nal.

The 10 KΩ re sis tor must be con nected to the
last de vice on the Out put.
If the Tam per line is not used, con nect a 10 KΩ
re sis tor across ter mi nals [ASB] and [M].
If sev eral con tacts are con nected to the Tam per
Line, the tam pered de vice will be un iden ti fi able.
To iden tify tam pered de vices:
se lect Dou ble Bal ance for Mo tion de tec tor con nec -
tions (re fer to "Dou ble Bal ance" un der "Con necting
Mo tion De tec tors");
con nect each Tam per con tact to a 24h zone with 10
K or 10 K ALARM ONLY bal ance (see Fig. 22).
Tam per con tact zones can be pro grammed with
Normally Closed bal ance, in which case, the 10 KΩ
re sis tors must not be con nected.

Connecting the Telephone Line

In or der to al low use of the Dial ler, Dig i tal com mu ni ca tor
and Teleservice fa cil i ties, the tele phone line must be
con nected to ter mi nals [LE], as shown in Fig. 23.
This Con trol panel can de tect Tele phone line trou ble
(Line down), which will be sig nalled when the volt age on
the [LE] ter mi nals drops be low 3 V for over 45 sec onds.
Tele phone line trou ble will be sig nalled by:
the Line-down event;
ON sta tus of the G in di ca tor on Key pads;
flash ing on the i in di ca tor on Key pads.
The Con trol panel will sig nal restoral when the volt age
on the LE] ter mi nals re turns to 3 V for over 15 sec onds.
