Thresholds Valid en tries: 1% through 98% in steps of
1% (equal to 138 mV with a 13.8V Power sup ply). The
thresh olds must be pro grammed with ris ing val ues.
In or der to en sure max i mum im mu nity to volt age
changes, the thresh olds are ex pressed in per cent -
age of the Zone power volt age.
The Zone Sta tus op tion (from the IN STALLER MENU)
will al low you to view the Zone volt ages (re fer to "Zone
Sta tus" in the "KEY PAD PRO GRAMMING MAN UAL").
The Thresh old pa ram e ter is pro tected against un -
in ten tional changes.

Inactivity

This func tion al lows the sys tem to mon i tor Alarm Zone
in ac tiv ity (non-de tec tion of mo tion), when the Par ti tions
are Dis armed. The In ac tiv ity func tion pro vides pro tec -
tion against the De tec tor blind ing and al lows the sys tem
to de tect Zone mal func tion. Un der nor mal cir cum -
stances, Users dis arm the sys tem when they are on the
pre mises, there fore, the Zones should de tect mo tion
(vi o la tion) quite fre quently. If this does not oc cur, the
sys tem will sup pose that the User is un able to move
(due to se ri ous ill ness, ac ci dent or de lin quency) and as
a re sult will gen er ate a De lin quency on Par ti tion
event, thus prompt ing the Cen tral sta tion op er a tor to
take the nec es sary ac tion.
The In ac tiv ity func tion can also be ap plied to au to matic
Arming. In which case, if the Zone does not de tect mo -
tion (vi o la tion) for the pro grammed pe riod the sys tem
will sup pose that no Users are pres ent and will Arm the
Par ti tions the Zone be longs to.
The sys tem will mon i tor Zone In ac tiv ity ONLY
when ALL the Par ti tions of the Zone are Dis -
armed.
The In ac tiv ity field will al low you to set the In ac tiv ity pa -
ram e ters, as fol lows:
None If you en able this op tion, Zone In ac tiv ity will not
be sig nalled. All Zones are dis abled at de fault.
Inactivity If you en able this op tion, Zone In ac tiv ity will
be sig nalled when the pro grammed In ac tiv ity Time ex -
pires.
Zone In ac tiv ity will be sig nalled by:
the Event de lin quency on par ti tion — re lat ing to
the Par ti tions the Zone is as signed to.
The G LED (ON) sig nals sev eral dif fer ent types of
Trou ble events. If the sig nal is due to In ac tiv ity, the
Key pad (in View Trou ble Mode) will show the In -
ac tiv ity mes sage (re fer to "View Trou ble
Mode" in the USER'S MANUAL).

The fol low ing in for ma tion will be re corded in the Event
log:
TYPE: In ac tiv ity
ID. EVENT: De scrip tion of the Par ti tions the Zone is
as signed to;
AGENT: None;
ID. AGENT: De scrip tion of the Zone that trig gered
the In ac tiv ity event.
Zone In ac tiv ity will ter mi nate when the Zone re stores
standby, or when the Zone trig gers an Alarm.
The ter mi na tion of a Zone In ac tiv ity event will be sig -
nalled on the G LED (OFF) on Keypads which are en abled
on at least one of the Par ti tions the Zone be longs to.
The G LED switch OFF ONLY when there are no
In ac tive Zone or Trou ble sig nals re lat ing to the
but ton.
Key pad Par ti tions.
As the event is a Spot event, the ter mi na tion of a
Zone In ac tiv ity event will not be sig nalled.
Auto-arm on delay If you en able this op tion, the Par ti -
tions the Zone be longs to will Arm au to mat i cally when
the pro grammed In ac tiv ity Time ex pires (re fer to In ac -
tiv ity Time/De lay).
Inactivity Time/Delay This field will al low you to pro -
gram the In ac tiv ity win dow (i.e. the time the sys tem will
al low the Zone to be in ac tive).
Valid en tries: 1 through 14400 min utes (10 days) 1-min -
ute steps.
At de fault, the In ac tiv ity Time is 1 min ute.
The pro grammed In ac tiv ity Time will re set when:
— ALL the Par ti tions the Zone be longs to Dis arm;
— the Zone is vi o lated;
— the Zone Re stores to standby.
Cycles
This pa ram e ter de ter mines the num ber of times the
Zone will be able to trig ger the Zone Alarm event.
Valid en tries: 0 through 254 or Re pet i tive:
If 0 is se lected, the Zone will be un able to trig ger
Zone Alarm events;
if any num ber other than 0 is se lected, the Zone will
be able to trig ger the cor re spond ing num ber of Alarm
events;
if Re pet i tive is se lected, the Zone will be able to trig -
ger an un lim ited num ber of Zone Alarm events.
The Zone Alarm Cy cle coun ter will re set when:
one of the Par ti tions of the Zone changes sta tus;
one of the Par ti tions of the Zone Re sets;
one of the Par ti tions of the Zone ex its Block Alarm
sta tus;
the pro gram ming ses sion ends (i.e. when you exit
the In staller Menu or com plete down loading via the
PC);
the Zone is Unbypassed.
