(i.e. the time al lowed for the Pulse coun ter to reach the
pro grammed thresh old).
For ex am ple, a zone with a 'Pulse' thresh old of 4 and a
'Time' win dow of 2 min utes, will sig nal vi o la tion when its
con tact gen er ates 4 Pulses within 2 min utes. If less
pulses than the pro grammed 'Pulse' thresh old are gen -
er ated dur ing the 'Time' win dow, the zone will not sig nal
vi o la tion, but will re fresh the win dow and carry for ward
the mem o rized num ber of pulses mi nus one (e.g. 3
pulses mem o rized = 2 pulses car ried for ward). The win -
dow will be re freshed un til there are no pulses to carry
for ward, at which point, the 'Pulse' thresh old and 'Time'
win dow will re set.
If the trim mer is po si tioned on 're pet i tive', the num ber
of pulses (if less pulses than the pro grammed 'Pulse'
thresh old) will be stored in def i nitely. In all cases, the
'Pulse' thresh old will re set au to mat i cally each time the
Con trol panel dis arms.

Balance Type

The Bal ance Type de ter mines the elec tri cal state (on
the Zone in put ter mi nal) that will trig ger Alarms.
The fol low ing elec tri cal states must be pres ent on
the Zone In put ter mi nals for at least 0.3 sec onds.
Normally Open Zones with this at trib ute will trig ger
Alarms when they short to Neg a tive (e.g. Fire de tec tors).
Normally Closed Zones with this at trib ute will trig ger
Alarms when they Open.
1K For Roller Blind and Vi bra tion Zones. Con trol
panel will con sider the Zone in standby sta tus, when the
1 K re sis tor (1,000 ohm) is con nected be tween the
Zone ter mi nal and Neg a tive. If a 1K Zone shorts to Neg -
a tive, the Con trol panel will de tect Tam per con di tions
and gen er ate the same fol low ing events of 10K Bal ance
Type.
10K If you ap ply this Bal ance Type, the Con trol panel
will con sider the Zone in standby sta tus, when the 10 K
re sis tor (10,000 ohm) is con nected be tween the Zone
ter mi nal and Neg a tive. If a 10K Zone shorts to Neg a -
tive, the Con trol panel will de tect Tam per con di tions
and gen er ate the fol low ing events:
Tam per on zone (rel a tive to the zone con cerned);
Tam per alarm on par ti tion no. and Ge neric+Tam -
per alarm on par ti tion no. rel e vant to the Par ti tion
the Zone is as signed to;
Tam per alarm on panel and Ge neric+Tam per
alarm on panel;
In all other cases (Un bal ancing, Open, etc.) the Con trol
panel will sig nal vi o la tion (re fer to "Type").
Double If you ap ply this Bal ance Type, the Con trol
panel will con sider the Zone in standby sta tus when the
two 10 K re sis tors (10,000 ohm) are con nected in par al -
lel be tween the Zone ter mi nal and Neg a tive.
If one of the re sis tors dis con nects, the Con trol panel will

gen er ate the events as so ci ated with the Zone Type (re -
fer to "Type"). In all other cases (Zone Open, Con -
nected to Neg a tive, etc.), the Con trol panel will de tect
Tam per con di tions and gen er ate the Events as so ci ated
with 10K Bal ance Zones.
This Bal ance Type (us ing 2 wires) will al low the sys tem
to de tect open Alarm and Tam per con tacts (re fer to
"Con necting to a Dou ble Bal ance zone").
Glass Break You must ap ply this Bal ance Type to
Zones with Glass Break De tec tors.
10K Alarm Only If you ap ply this Bal ance Type, the
Con trol panel will con sider the Zone in standby sta tus
when the 10 K re sis tor (10,000 ohm) is con nected be -
tween the Zone ter mi nal and Neg a tive.
The Con trol panel will con sider all other con di tions as
vi o la tion (Zone open, short-cir cuit, etc.).
10K Alarm Only Bal ance Zones will sig nal Alarm sta -
tus when shorted.
10K Bal ance Zones will sig nal Tam per sta tus when
shorted.
Customized You can cus tom ize this Bal ance Type to
suit the sys tem re quire ments (re fer to "Thresh old").
The volt age thresh old val ues will al low the Con trol
Panel to de tect and dis tin guish Zone Alarm, Tam per
and Short-cir cuit con di tions.
If you ap ply Cus tom ized Bal ance, you will be able to
se lect the var i ous thresh olds (Standby, Alarm, Tam per
and Short cir cuit).
Value in ohm This op tion will al low you to view the
zone ter mi nal volt age val ues (in stead of the thresh old
% val ues).
Standby If you en able this op tion, the Con trol panel
will con sider the Zone in Standby sta tus when the volt -
age on its ter mi nal is be low the pro grammed Standby
thresh old.
Alarm If you en able this op tion, the Con trol panel will
con sider the Zone in Alarm sta tus when the volt age on
its ter mi nal ex ceeds the pro grammed Alarm thresh old
for the pro grammed in ter val, and num ber of times (re -
fer to Sen si tiv ity).
Tamper If you en able this op tion, the Con trol panel will
con sider the Zone in Tam per sta tus when the volt age
on its ter mi nal ex ceeds the pro grammed Tam per
thresh old for at least 0.3 sec onds (300 ms).
Short-circuit If you en able this op tion, the Con trol
panel will con sider the Zone "Shorted" when the volt age
on its ter mi nal ex ceeds the pro grammed Short-cir cuit
thresh old for at least 0.3 sec onds (300 ms).
