Leftover Time This field will show the re sid ual time
which can be added to other Voice Mes sages.
The re sid ual time de pends on the se lected qual ity.

Compound Messages

The Con trol panel Dial ler can man age Com pound Mes -
sages. This type of Mes sage takes up less time than a
reg u lar Mes sage. There fore, if you must re cord sev eral
mes sages with parts in com mon, such as an Ad dress,
the Com pound Mes sage will al low you to save mes -
sage time.
For ex am ple, in stead of re cord ing:
Mes sage 1 (reg u lar Mes sage tak ing 5 sec onds)

Mes sage 2 (reg u lar Mes sage tak ing 5 sec onds)

and com bine the mes sages to ob tain the same con -
tents, as fol lows:
Mes sage 1 = Mes sages 2 + 1 + 5
Mes sage 2 = Mes sages 3 + 1 + 5
Mes sage 3 = Mes sages 4 + 1 + 5
The three reg u lar Mes sages take 15 sec onds while the
three Com pound Mes sages take only 8 sec onds, thus
sav ing 7 sec onds.

Teleservice

The B-Mod2 mo dem and the KYO320 ap pli ca tion from the
Se cu rity Suite will al low you to pro vide the
Teleservice func tion (ac cess to the sys tem via
tele phone).
Teleservice calls can be made by the in staller
(Teleservice calls to the Con trol panel re quire
User au tho ri za tion), or by the User (if the Con -
trol panel has been setup to per form the au to -
matic Test Event).
When the Con trol Panel
Teleservice call (man u ally, by User re quest, or
au to mat i cally via the Call back or En able Test
Call op tions (these op tions must be En abled),
it will dial the pro grammed num bers (re fer to
En able and Tele phone num ber to call) un til
a call is suc cess ful, or un til the pro grammed
call At tempts cy cle ends.
The lay out of Teleservice page as fol lows.
Double call This op tion will al low the Con trol
Panel to share the tele phone line with an other
an swer ing de vice (an swer ing ma chine, fax,

etc.). Un der nor mal cir cum stances, the de vice which al -
lows the least num ber of rings will an swer any in com ing
calls. How ever, if this op tion is En abled, the Con trol
panel will over ride the other an swer ing de vice when it
rec og nizes the Dou ble Call se quence.
Dou ble Call se quence: the caller must al low no more
than 2 rings, then hang up and call back within 60 sec -
onds. The Con trol panel will an swer on the first ring of
the sec ond call.
The other an swer ing de vice must be pro grammed
to an swer af ter 3 or more rings.

To ac cess the sys tem over the phone: ring twice and hang
up, then call the Con trol Panel again within 60 sec onds.
Callback If this op tion is En abled, the Con trol panel
will call the En abled tele phone num bers (re fer to En -
able and Tele phone num ber to call on the
Teleservice page). In this way, ONLY au tho rized per -
sons can ac cess the Teleservice func tion.
Enable This check box will al low you to En able the
Teleservice num ber.
The ap pli ca tion will as sign the first four Tele phone
Num bers in the Gen eral book (Tele phone page)
to the Teleservice func tion. If you do not wish to
use the pre set num bers, Dis able the cor re spond -
ing En able op tion.
Telephone Number to call Se lect
Tele phone Num bers from the Gen eral book on the
Tele phone page.
Dis abled Tele phone Num bers will not be called.
Customer Code This Code will al low the Cen tral Sta -
tion to iden tify the Con trol Panel.
