switchport backup interface

To configure Flex Links, which are two interfaces that provide backup to each other, on a Layer 2
interface, use the switchport backup interface command. To remove the Flex Links configuration, use
the no form of this command.

Modification
Support for the QSFP+ GEM was added.
This command was introduced.
Specifies the backup Ethernet interface. The slot number is from
1 to 255. The QSFP-module number is from 1 to 4. The port
number is from 1 to 128.
The QSFP-module number applies only to the QSFP+

Generic Expansion Module (GEM).
Specifies the port channel interface. The interface number is
from 1 to 4096.
(Optional) Specifies to configure the multicast parameters.
(Optional) Configures fast convergence on the backup interface.
(Optional) Specifies to configure a preemption scheme for a
backup interface pair.
(Optional) Specifies a preemption delay. The range is from 1 to
300 seconds.
(Optional) Specifies the preemption mode.
(Optional) Specifies that the interface with the higher available
bandwidth always preempts the backup.
(Optional) Specifies the interface that always preempts the
backup.
(Optional) Specifies no preemption occurs from backup to
active.
