OTHER NORMAL PROCEDURES
EXTERNAL POWER
The following precautions shall be observed using external
power:
1. Batteries must be installed in the airplane. This protects
the voltage regulators and associated equipment from
voltage transients (power fluctuations).
2. The airplane has a negative ground system. Connect the
positive lead of the external power unit to the positive
terminals of the airplane's external power receptacle and
the negative lead of the external power unit to the nega-
tive terminal of the external power receptacle.
3. In order to prevent arcing, ensure external power unit is
off while the connection is being made.
