Note – As shipped, the root password is not set and therefore not required. Press
the Enter key when prompted for the password. Refer to the Sun Datacenter Switch
3456 Administration Guide for instructions on how to set the root password.
▼ To Access the CMC From the Network Management
Port
To access the CMC using the network for the first time, you must first configure the
network management port through the serial management port. See
CMC From the Serial Management Port" on page
You can set network parameters according to the specific details of your network
configuration using the setlanconfig option of the clia command.
Note – The following procedure makes changes that do not require a reset or reboot.
1. Set the IP address for the CMC.
# clia setlanconfig 1 3 xxx.yyy.zzz.www
where xxx.yyy.zzz.www is the IP address.
