INPUT AC POWER REQUIREMENTS

DANGER!
Hazard of electrcal shock! Capactors retan charge after power s removed . Before
servcng the drve, dsconnect ncomng power and wat untl the voltage between
termnals B+ and B- s 0 VDC .
The nput voltage must match the nameplate voltage ratng of the drve . Voltage fluctuaton
must not vary by greater than 10% overvoltage or 15% undervoltage .
NOTE
Drves wth dual nput voltage ratngs must be programmed for the proper supply
voltage (refer to Parameter 01 - LINE VOLTAGE SELECTION n Secton 15,
DESCRIPTION OF PARAMETERS) .
The drve s sutable for use on a crcut capable of delverng not more than 5,000 RMS
symmetrcal amperes at the drve's rated voltage .
If the kVA ratng of the AC supply transformer s greater than 10 tmes the nput kVA ratng
of the drve(s), an solaton transformer or 2-3% nput lne reactor must be added to the
lne sde of the drve(s) .
Three phase voltage mbalance must be less than 2 .0% phase to phase . Excessve phase
to phase mbalance can cause severe damage to the drve .
Motor voltage should match lne voltage n normal applcatons . The drve's maxmum
output voltage wll equal the nput voltage . Use extreme cauton when usng a motor wth
a voltage ratng whch s dfferent from the nput lne voltage .
7.1 Input Voltage Ratings
SM000S Series drves are rated for 120 Vac sngle phase, 50-60 Hz nput . The drve wll
functon wth nput voltage of 120 Vac (+10%, -15%) at 48 to 62 Hz .
SM200S & SL200S Series drves are rated for 208/240 Vac, sngle phase, 50-60 Hz
nput . The drve wll functon wth nput voltage of 208 to 240 Vac (+10%, -15%), at 48
to 62 Hz .
SM200 Series drves are rated for 208/240 Vac, three phase, 50-60 Hz nput . The drve
wll functon wth nput voltage of 208 to 240 Vac (+10%, -15%) at 48 to 62 Hz .
SM400 Series drves are rated for 400/480 Vac, three phase, 50-60 Hz nput . The drve
wll functon wth nput voltage of 400 to 480 Vac (+10%, -15%) at 48 to 62 Hz .
NOTE
Parameter 01 - LINE VOLTAGE SELECTION must be programmed accordng to the
appled nput voltage . Refer to Secton 15, DESCRIPTION OF PARAMETERS .
