P28 FIXED BOOST
FIXED BOOST ncreases startng torque by ncreasng the output voltage when operatng below
half of the base frequency . For better out-of-the-box performance, SCL/SCM Seres drves
are shpped wth a settng that s dfferent from the factory default of 1% . Unts rated 0 .33 to 1
HP (0 .25 to 0 .75 kW) = 5 .3%, 1 .5 to 2 HP (1 .1 to 1 .5 kW) = 4 .4%, 3 HP (2 .2 kW) = 3 .6%, 5 HP
(4 kW) = 3 .0%, 7 .5 HP (5 .5 kW) = 2 .7%, 10 HP (7 .5 kW) = 2 .4%, and 15 HP (11 kW) =
2 .2% .
P29 ACCELERATION BOOST
ACCELERATION BOOST helps accelerate hgh-nerta loads . Durng acceleraton, the
output voltage s ncreased to ncrease motor torque . Once the motor reaches the new
speed setpont, the boost s turned off and the output voltage returns to the normal
value .
P30 SLIP COMPENSATION
SLIP COMPENSATION s used to counteract changes n motor speed (slp) caused by
changes n load . In a standard AC nducton motor, the shaft speed decreases as load
ncreases, and ncreases as load decreases . By ncreasng or decreasng the output
frequency n response to an ncreasng or decreasng load, the slp s counteracted and
speed s mantaned . Most standard NEMA B motors have a 3% slp ratng .
P31 - P37 PRESET SPEED #1 - #7
Preset speeds are actvated by contact closures between TB-11 and TB-13A, 13B, and
13E . The TB-13 termnals must be programmed as preset speed selects usng Parameters
10-12 .
NOTE
Preset speeds can operate below the frequency defined by the Mnmum Frequency
parameter (Parameter 23) .
