P48 PROGRAM SELECTION
P48 s used to select whether the drve wll operate accordng to the user settngs or the
optonal OEM default settngs, and to reset the parameters to default settngs . Refer to
Secton 13 .2 .
01 OPERATE WITH USER SETTINGS: The drve wll operate accordng to the user
settngs . Operaton n USER mode allows the parameter values to be changed to
sut any applcaton .
02 OPERATE WITH OEM DEFAULTS: The drve wll operate accordng to the optonal
OEM default settngs, whch configure the drve for a specfic applcaton . When
operatng n OEM mode, the parameter values can be vewed, but not changed . If
an attempt s made to change a parameter settng, the dsplay wll flash "GE" . If the
drve s not programmed wth OEM default settngs, the dsplay wll flash "GF" f ths
opton s selected .
03 RESET OEM: Resets the user parameters to the OEM default settngs . If the drve
s not programmed wth OEM default settngs, the dsplay wll flash "GF" f ths opton
s selected .
04 RESET 60: Resets the user parameters to the factory defaults for a 60 Hz base
frequency . Parameters 24, 27, and 46 wll reset to 60 .0 Hz .
05 RESET 50: Resets the user parameters to the factory defaults for a 50 Hz base
frequency . Parameters 24, 27, and 46 wll reset to 50 .0 Hz .
06 TRANSLATE: If an EPM from a drve wth a prevous (but compatble) parameter
verson s nstalled n a new drve, the new drve wll functon lke the prevous verson
drve, but none of the parameter settngs can be changed ("cE" wll be dsplayed f ths
s attempted) . The TRANSLATE functon converts the EPM to the new parameter
verson so that the parameters can be changed, but t also retans the old parameter
settngs so the new drve wll operate lke the old drve wthout havng to re-program
all of the parameters . Once the EPM s "translated", t wll no longer work n the old
drve .
NOTE
• If the user parameters are reset to the OEM defaults (usng the RESET OEM
opton), and then OPERATE WITH USER SETTINGS s selected, the USER
settngs wll be the same as the OEM default settngs . Ths allows the drve to
operate as f t was n OEM mode, but the parameter values can be changed .
Ths s useful f some of the OEM default settngs need to be fine-tuned for proper
operaton . The new parameter values are not actually stored as new OEM default
settngs however; they are smply stored as new USER settngs . Therefore, f
the parameters are reset to the OEM defaults agan, the parameters that were
changed wll be reset to ther "old" value . The optonal EPM Programmer s
requred to change OEM default settngs . Refer to Secton 13 .2 .
• Only the TRANSLATE (06) functon can be performed whle the drve s runnng .
The dsplay wll flash "Er" f an attempt s made to select any other functon whle
the drve s runnng .
