03 START WITH DC BRAKE: When a START command s gven, the drve wll apply DC
BRAKE VOLTAGE (Parameter 22) for the duraton of DC BRAKE TIME (Parameter
21) pror to startng the motor to ensure that the motor s not turnng .
04 AUTO RESTART WITH DC BRAKING: Upon a START command, after a fault, or
upon applcaton of power, the drve wll apply DC BRAKE VOLTAGE (Parameter 22)
for the duraton of DC BRAKE TIME (Parameter 21) pror to startng (or restartng)
the motor .
05 FLYING RESTART 1: LOW performance . Slowest synchronzaton and lowest current
level . Ths settng results n the smoothest synchronzaton .
06 FLYING RESTART 2: MEDIUM performance . Faster synchronzaton and
hgher current level . Ths settng allows faster synchronzaton whle retanng
smoothness .
07 FLYING RESTART 3: HIGH performance . Fastest synchronzaton and hghest current
level . Ths settng allows the fastest synchronzaton, but sacrfices smoothness .
When programmed for auto-restart (settngs 04 - 07), the drve wll attempt three restarts
after a fault . The nterval between restart attempts s 15 seconds for settng 04, and 2
seconds for settngs 05, 06 and 07 . Durng the nterval between restart attempts, the dsplay
wll read "SP" to ndcate Start Pendng . If all three restart attempts fal, the drve wll trp
nto FAULT LOCKOUT (dsplayed "LC") and requre a manual reset . Refer to Secton 16,
TROUBLESHOOTING .
The FLYING RESTART 1 - 3 settngs allow the drve to start nto a spnnng load after a fault
or upon applcaton of nput power . They dffer n the tme requred to find the motor speed
and the amount of current requred to synchronze wth t . The faster the drve attempts
to find the motor speed, the more current s requred . The first two restart attempts wll try
to start nto the spnnng load, but the thrd restart attempt wll act lke AUTO RESTART
WITH DC BRAKING .
NOTE
Settngs 02 and 04 - 07 requre a two-wre start/stop crcut to operate . The RUN
contact must reman closed for the power-up start and auto-restart functons to
operate .
P04 STOP METHOD
01 COAST TO STOP: When a STOP command s gven, the drve shuts off the output
to the motor, allowng t to coast freely to a stop .
02 COAST WITH DC BRAKE: When a stop command s gven, the drve wll actvate
DC brakng (after a delay of up to 2 seconds, dependng on frequency) to help
decelerate the load . Refer to Parameters: 21 - DC BRAKE TIME, and 22 - DC BRAKE
VOLTAGE .
03 RAMP TO STOP: When a stop command s gven, the drve wll decelerate the motor
to a stop at the rate determned by Parameter 20 - DECELERATION TIME .
