Use the controller longreachethernet global configuration command to enter the controller
configuration mode.
This command is available only on Catalyst 2950 Long-Reach Ethernet (LRE) switches.

Usage Guidelines Use this command to enter the controller configuration mode. An LRE controller is the LRE chipset in
the switch.

controller longreachethernet ctrlr-number
LRE controller number. Controller numbers are device specific. The range is
0 to 2 on a 24-port LRE switch and 0 on an 8-port LRE switch.
Modification
This command was introduced.
Description
Configures upgrades on either end of an LRE link.
Prevents an upgrade of the local customer premises equipment (CPE)
controller and all remote CPE devices connected to it.
