The Analyzer exports data in comma-delimited text format to create a .csv file that can be imported into many
spreadsheet or database programs. A common application involves exporting data from the Analyzer and

To import data into a spreadsheet program

Export data from the Analyzer via one of two methods.
• Export to the Analyzer's USB port and capture the data on a USB flash memory drive. After exporting
the data, remove the USB drive from the Analyzer and attach it to your computer's USB port. It
should appear in your available drive list as a "removable media drive."
• Export to the Analyzer's Ethernet port and capture the data using a data acquisition program, such
as PuTTY, HyperTerminal, and Tera Term. See
page
159.

On your computer, launch the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet program.
Select File Open.

Set the Files of type drop-down menu to All Files (*.*). Browse to the file containing the data exported
from the Analyzer, and click Open. The USB flash drive appears as a "Removable Disk" in the list of
available drives.

If the spreadsheet program opens the data in a spreadsheet, you do not need to continue with the next
steps. You can work with the file as you would any other Microsoft Excel spreadsheet program file.

Depending on the version of Microsoft Excel spreadsheet program you have, the program may
automatically start the "Text Import Wizard" to help you create a spreadsheet from the data in the file.
If the "Text Import Wizard" dialog box appears
click the Next button.
