Chapter 6: Analyzer Operation
11. Click the Close button.
12. Shut down, power off, and restart the computer.
To manually set the IP address for Windows
1.
On the computer, select Start Menu
2.
Next to the listing for the network connection, click View Status.
3.
Click the Properties button.
4.
If you are prompted to continue, click the Continue button.
5.
Scroll through the list and select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
6.
Click the Properties button.
7.
Select the radio button for "Use the following IP address"
8.
Enter an IP address. The first three numbers must be the same as those used on the Analyzer, and the
last number must be different from the one used on the Analyzer. Do not use the number 0 or 255.
For example, if the Analyzer IP address is set to the default of 192.168.1.10, you could set the computer
to 192.168.1.11.
9.
Enter a subnet mask address. This should be the same numbers as those used on the Analyzer.
10. Click the OK button.
11. Click the OK button.
12. Click the Close button.
13. Shut down, power off, and restart the computer.

Collect historical or real-time measurement data from the Analyzer using Ethernet and a data acquisition
program. For additional information, see

To collect real-time data (w/Ethernet connection)

Configure the Ethernet connection and then use a data acquisition program to capture a TCP/IP transmitted .csv
text file in real time. Examples include PuTTY, HyperTerminal, and Tera Term.

For direct connection of the Analyzer to a PC, select the crossover Ethernet cable from the Accessories
Kit. Attach one end to the Ethernet port in the electronics area of the Analyzer, and the other end to an
Ethernet port on the PC.
