Chapter 9: Troubleshooting

Liquid Flow Check

The Liquid Flow test is a visual test that allows you to check for possible obstructions in the flow of liquid through
two paths: the sparger through reactor bypass and the sparger through the reactor. When you press the Liquid
Flow Check button, the following screen appears:

To perform the Liquid Bypass Flow test
Press the Liquid Bypass Flow button. The button appears orange and the Analyzer displays the various Test
states.
Draining — Pump P1-R empties any liquid that may be in the sparger through the reactor bypass in
preparation for the test.
Loading —The syringe fills with dilution water.
Dispensing — The water dispenses into the sparger. Valves V4-R, V5-R, and V7-R are closed.
Bypass Flow — Valves V3-R and V6-R open and Pump P1-R empties the sparger through the reactor
bypass and out to the waste. It will take a few seconds for the water to exit the Liquid Waste tube
located at the back of the Analyzer.
If you do not see water exiting the waste tube while P1-R is operating, or if the liquid level in the sparger
does not go down, the reactor bypass tube may be plugged.
Waiting — The test is complete.
