SMB Authentication
When an IP address or a host name is used to designate the authentication server for SMB
authentication, even if the domain name is incorrect, the authentication succeeds if the
correct user name and passcode are entered.

When the authentication server performs print or direct fax using Kerberos Server, trying
to authenticate with the user information authenticated by the machine will be failed.
When you change Login Type to or from [Login to Remote Accounts], user information,
private folders, and Job Flow sheets registered on the machine will be deleted.
ApeosWare Authentication Management and ApeosWare Authentication Agent do not
support the feature to automatically obtain the certificate of the authenticated users
from a remote server.
The remote authentication server that ApeosWare Authentication Management (sold
separately) and ApeosWare Authentication Agent (sold separately) can use is Active
Directory only.

IP addresses are managed for the entire system. Configure the settings only after
consulting your network administrator.
