2.4 Preventing Overheating of the Scanner Motor
The machine is equipped with a scanner motor cooling fan to prevent overheating of the
scanner motor.

The fan is used to cool the scanner motor in conjunction with fixed mode used under spe-
cific conditions as follows:
Operating mode
Stream reading or stand-by
Fixed mode for reduction between 60% and 68.9%
Fixed mode other than above
