• GPS Setup—Fix Mode
Set the GPS fix mode.
• 3D : "GPS 3D Fix" will activate when more than 4
GPS satellites are detected.
• 2D/3D : "GPS 3D Fix" will activate when more than
4 GPS satellites are detected, or "GPS 2D
Fix" will activate when 3 GPS satellites are
detected.
• GPS Setup—SBAS Mode
The SBAS (Satellite Based Augmentation System)
transmits signals to correct errors and improve accu-
racy and reliability in data received from regular GPS
satellites. When this function is ON, the corrected data
can be used.
• OFF : The SBAS function is OFF.
• ON : The SBAS function is ON.
NOTE: When the SBAS satellite signal is received,
"SDGPS 3D Fix" or "SDGPS 2D Fix" will activate.
• GPS Setup—SBAS Search Mode
Set the SBAS search function to "Manual" or "Auto."
This function should normally be set to "Auto."
• Manual : You have to manually select the SBAS sat-
ellite.
This option can be useful when your vessel
is in an area where 2 satellite zones over-
lap.
• Auto : The MXP-5000 automatically searches for
the SBAS satellite that is determined ac-
cording to the position of your vessel.
• GPS Setup—SBAS Satellite No.
When "Manual" option is selected in the "SBAS Search
Mode," you should manually select the SBAS Satellite
which covers the zone your vessel is monitoring.
Rotate [DIAL] to select an SBAS Satellite number
