14.1 The Subsystem Management support tab

In this section we introduce the main support functions that are accessed from the DS
Storage Manager (Subsystem Management) support tab (Figure 14-1).
Note: The support tab only contains the four most commonly used support tasks. More
advanced support functions are accessed from the Advanced menu in the Subsystem
Management window.

The Support tab (Figure 14-1) provides links to the below support functions:
Gather Support Information - Clicking this link will open a wizard to save the DS3500
storage subsystem support information. This function is described in 14.2, "Gather
Support Information" on page 339.
View Storage Subsystem Profile - Clicking on this link will open the DS3500 profile form
viewing. This function is described in 14.3, "View Storage Subsystem Profile" on
page 346.
Download Firmware - Clicking this link will start the firmware update wizard. This function
is described in 14.5, "Download firmware" on page 357
View Event Log - Clicking this link will open the DS3500 storage subsystem event log for
viewing. This function is described in 14.6, "View Event Log" on page 395.
