CHAPTER 3 PSA Web-UI (Web User Interface) Operations
Item
The Web-UI acquires the latest information for display in the window.
The Web-UI acquires the latest information on MAC statistics (Transmit Statistics) for display in the window.
Remarks
- The fields may display undefined values because support varies depending on the driver. The fields always
display 0 for unsupported MAC statistics items.
- In Windows, if the network connection is disabled, the Web-UI cannot acquire MAC statistics. In such
cases, all the fields always display 0.
- If the driver is not loaded at PSA startup, all the fields display 0.
Total Packets
Displays the number of packets passed to IP for transmission via the protocol (e.g., TCP,
UDP) at the transport layer. It does not include packets that were simply transmitted.
Total Bytes
Displays the number of transmitted bytes.
Deferred Xmits
Displays the number of packets that were not sent in the first transmission attempt and
delayed because the line was busy. Network congestion causes transmission delays.
Single Collisions
Displays the number of packets that were successfully transmitted after exactly one
collision. [Single Collisions] indicates that the network is congested.
Multiple Collisions
Displays the number of packets that were successfully transmitted after several collisions.
It does not include any packets that were counted for [Single Collisions]. [Multiple
Collisions] indicates that the network is congested.
Excessive Collisions
Displays the number of packets that encountered a transmission error because the
maximum allowable number of collisions was exceeded. The cause is extremely severe
network congestion.
Carrier Sense Errors
Displays the number of times that the carrier sense condition was not satisfied.
Late Collision Errors
Displays the number of packets that encountered a collision after data exceeding 512 bits
was transmitted. The detection of a collision after 512 bits of data were transmitted means
that the transmission route was too long. The long route resulted in duplicate long signal
propagation.
SQE Test Errors
Displays the number of SQE test error occurrences.
MAC Xmit Errors
Displays the number of packets that were not successfully transmitted because of a MAC
layer internal error. Note that this value does not include those packets that were already
counted for [Late Collision Errors], [Excessive Collisions], or [Carrier Sense Errors].
The Web-UI acquires the latest information on MAC statistics (Receive Statistics) for display in the window.
Remarks
- The fields may display undefined values because support varies depending on the driver. The fields always
display 0 for unsupported MAC statistics items.
- In Windows, if the network connection is disabled, the Web-UI cannot acquire MAC statistics. In such
cases, all the fields always display 0.
- If the driver was not loaded during PSA startup, the Web-UI cannot acquire MAC statistics. In such cases,
all the fields display 0.
- -Hyphen (-): The scope could not be acquired.
