An additional field appears when the Type field is G250. This field is:
Max Survivable IP Ext – limits the number of simultaneous IP endpoint registrations for
the G250 in SLS mode (1 - 60). The limited VoIP resources in SLS can only handle a
limited number of simultaneous endpoint registrations. Adjusting this field above the
default value (8) can result in system performance problems. For information about SLS,
see
Standard Local Survivability (SLS)
The Avaya G350 Media Gateway media modules are listed by slots V1-V6, followed by the
input field for 'Module Type'. The Avaya media modules can be one of six types: analog, BRI,
DCP, ETH 24P, ICC, or DS1 (also referred to as E1/T1). The default for the Module Type field is
a blank field.
The Avaya G250 Media Gateway media modules are listed by Slot V1-V2, followed by the input
field for 'Module Type'. Slot V1 only supports an S8300 Media Server. Slot V2 only supports a
WAN media module (MM340 or MM342).
Note:
The S8300 Media Server is a processor-type media module. From a SAT
Note:
administration viewpoint, there is no difference between an S8300 Media Server
acting as an ICC or an S8300 acting as an LSP. Therefore, the designation for
both is via icc in the Module Type field.
If an administered media module is in conflict with the inserted media module, then a pound
sign (#) is displayed to the left of the 'Module Type' field on the Media Gateway form and the
following footnote is displayed: "'#' indicates module type conflict".
