Hazard Avoidance
The Joystick can also be used to adjust bearing from left to right.
Adjusting antenna tilt on the Horizontal Scan display:
1) Press the FMS Knob to activate the cursor in the TILT field.
2) Turn the small FMS Knob to select the desired antenna tilt angle.
3) Press the ENT Key.
4) Press the FMS Knob to remove the cursor.
The Joystick can also be used to adjust tilt up and down.
Adjusting antenna tilt on the Vertical Scan display:
1) Press the Tilt Softkey to activate the cursor in the TILT field and display the
Tilt Line.
If
the Tilt Line is not displayed, press the MENU Key and turn the large
FMS Knob to select Show Tilt Line. Press the ENT Key.
2) Turn the small FMS Knob to adjust the antenna tilt angle. The selected tilt
angle is implemented when Horizontal Scan is again selected.
The Joystick can also be used to adjust tilt.
Enabling/disabling manual gain adjustment:
WARNING: Changing the gain in weather mode causes precipitation intensity
to be displayed as a color not representative of the true intensity. Remember
to return the gain setting to Calibrated for viewing the actual intensity of
precipitation.
1) Press the Gain Softkey to activate the cursor in the Gain field.
2) Turn the small FMS Knob to adjust the gain for the desirable level. The
gain setting is visible in the Gain field as a movable horizontal bar in
a flashing box. The line pointer is a reference depicting the calibrated
position.
3) Press the FMS Knob to remove the cursor.
4) Press the Gain Softkey again to return to the calibrated gain setting.
'Calibrated' is displayed in the Gain field.
