4 SLEEP Mode

Four situations apply:
Power OFF = the main ON/OFF switch is OFF.

SLEEP 1 = quick start mode is enabled.
I
SLEEP 2 = economy mode is enabled.
I
Standby = the machine is ready for use.
I
The phasing of these situations is as follows:
Power OFF to Standby

When the main ON/OFF switch is switched ON.

Standby to SLEEP 1

When the ON/OFF switch on the operating panel is switched ON.

When auto power-off is enabled, or
I
When a weekly timer is enabled.
I
SLEEP 1 to Standby

When the ON/OFF switch on the operating panel is switched ON, or

During off-hook.
I
SLEEP 1 to SLEEP 2

The microprocessor identifies jams as follows:
There are no transmission reservations.
I
There are no timer operation reservations (e.g., timer polling, timer report-

ing).
There is no reception document.
I
When there is no document waiting for printing.
I
During on-hook.
I
There is no printer board PBA.
I
The economy switch is at the bottom position.
I
SLEEP 2 to SLEEP 1

Occurs when an incoming call is detected.

SLEEP 2 to Standby

During off-hook.
I
When the ON/OFF switch on the operating panel is switched ON.
I
When the economy switch is switched ON (moved up).
