10 Installing the expansion memory

Prior to the installation, switch OFF the copier and disconnect the

The expansion memory may either be 3Mb or 9Mb. Installing the memory in
slot A or B on the Fax PBA provides the following functions:
Slot A:
used for page memory

3Mb memory may be installed

as resolution Ultra Fine Mode may be selected

Slot B:
Used for image memory
I
9Mb or 3Mb may be installed

increases memory for transmission/reception images.

Installation
Turn OFF SW2 on the Fax PBA

Remove the rear cover of the copier and the expansion unit cover. Slide out the

Fax PBA, halfway.

Open the claw of the slot. Insert the expansion memory straight down in the

slot.
Turn ON SW2 on the Fax PBA.

Slide the Fax PBA back into the original position, and replace the covers.
