1 E000 The fixing temperature fails to rise.

Cause
The thermistor
relay connector J50
is disconnected.
Thermistor: open
circuit.
Heater: open cir-
cuit.
Thermistor: poor
contact.

Step Checks
1 Clear the error using
'ERROR' in service
mode (*4*). Is the con-
nection of the connector
J50 (4-wire harness
under the counter mount)
good?
2 Let the fixing assembly
to cool; then, disconnect
J50, and measure the
resistance of the thermis-
tor. Is the reading as fol-
lows? J501/-2 (yellow
line) about 1388 kohm
J503/-4 (white line)
about 3636 kohm
3 Disconnect the connec-
tor J4 (near the door
switch assembly), and
check electrical continu-
ity. Is there electrical
continuity?
4 Replace the fuser unit. Is
the problem corrected?
Replace the fixing heater
driver. Is the problem
corrected?
Yes/No Action
No Reconnect it.
No Replace the fuser unit.
No Replace the fuser unit.
Yes End.
